Where do lessons take place?
Lessons are held at my home tutoring space in Castle Hill, set up specifically for focused learning. The classroom is quiet, comfortable, and free from distractions. Parents are welcome to drop off or wait nearby. There is plenty of street parking close to the entrance.
Do you have a Working with Children Check (WWCC)?
Yes. I hold a current NSW Working With Children Check, and I renew it as required to ensure ongoing compliance with NSW safety regulations. I’m committed to providing a safe, professional learning environment for all students.
How long are your group classes?
Group classes run for 90 minutes, which I’ve found to be the ideal balance for senior physics. It provides enough time to teach new content clearly, work through example problems, and give students guided practice—without feeling rushed or overwhelming. Students consistently find that this length helps them build confidence and real mastery of the material.
How do you cater for individual students in a group class?
Even in a small group setting, each student receives individualised support. At the end of every class, students complete a short, personalised practice test. I analyse each student’s responses after the class to identify strengths, gaps, and misconceptions. This helps me to tailor how I support each student in the next lesson and also guides the design of their next personalised test, ensuring that each student is continually challenged at the right level. Combined with ongoing check-ins during class and small class sizes (maximum six students), this approach gives every student targeted, meaningful help within a collaborative group environment.
What is covered in the cost of a class?
In addition to the time spent face-to-face in the group class, the class fee also covers the preparation of the personalised practice tests and the subsequent feedback sent out via email after the class. Students are also provided with high quality class notes, worked examples and practice questions that they can take home and use in addition to their school textbook.
